Colorado
What’s the job? Experience the real USA by working behind the bar in a horse riding ranch! The salary is $8.50 per hour and you’ll be working 40-48 hours per week, plus there’s potential for an end of season bonus. Accommodation on site is provided.
What’s the area like? Colorado is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Its gorges, mountains and national parks offer loads to keep the adrenaline junkies occupied – from rock climbing to white water rafting, and mountain biking to snowboarding - while the ski towns and university towns provide fantastic nightlife. Sample the local wine at one of the state’s many vineyards, or join the crowds in one of its fantastic street festivals.

Maryland
What’s the job? Love theme parks? Then this could be the job for you! You could be working at a theme park as a game cashier, ride operator or ticket cashier. This is really popular with BUNAC participants as there are forty positions on offer – and with loads of seasonal staff flocking there each year, there’s a great working atmosphere. You’ll be working 55-60 hours per week, earning $7.25 hour, with potential for bonuses. The theme park also offers dormitory-style accommodation at a competitive price.
What’s the area like? Maryland is buzzing with great beaches, funfairs and even a world-class zoo. St. Clement’s Island lies just off the coast, and boasts staggering natural beauty – the perfect place to put your feet up on your days off!

What’s the job? Working on the front desk at a hotel. Accommodation can be organised at an affordable rate and is less than a block from the hotel. You’ll be working 30-40 hours per week and you can expect to get paid $9-10 per hour for your troubles.
What’s the area like? Disneyland and Hollywood draw the tourists in, while San Francisco boasts its fair share of world famous landmarks, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Mulholland Drive. For sport-enthusiasts, Lake Tahoe is a great spot for water sports and skiing, and California’s spectacular national parks offer plenty of opportunities for skiing and snowboarding. Let the hours go by while relaxing on one of the state’s many golden beaches or have a go at scuba diving and explore life under the sea!
