How to work a ski season in Canada

With some of the best on-piste, off-piste and park skiing in the world (and arguably some of the finest apres-ski) Canada is a powder-covered playground for skiers, shredders and seasonnaires. Whether you ski or not (many of our employers include free or subsidised lessons if you want to learn on the job...), working a season is an amazing experience – with epic scenery, great friends and plenty of job opps for our BUNACers.

How BUNAC help

We’ve been sending young adventurers to Canada for 30+ years, so it’s fair to say we’re pros at the whole dream job abroad thing. With assistance with visa applications, two years of job support and even a pre-placed ski season job with Canada’s top resorts, BUNAC are the helping hand you need in planning your ski season in Canada. Here’s how it works.

Apply for your Canadian working holiday (IEC) visa

Getting an IEC (International Experience Canada) visa can be tricky, but with help from BUNAC, the process is so much simpler. We’ll guide you through the visa process to make sure your application is in tip top shape. We also run webinars and one-to-one consultations to make sure all your Canadian queries are answered.

Land a ski season job in Canada

With BUNAC’s Ultimate Canada program, you can sit back and dream of fresh powder while we help you find a pre-arranged job. Our employers include some of the most renowned ski resorts in the world, including Blue Mountain Resort in Ontario and Four Seasons Resort in Whistler.

Once you have your visa secured, you can meet our employers at our Work Canada fair – where we often have a 100% hiring rate. Or if our fairs aren’t going ahead due to the pandemic, we’ll hook you up with resorts looking to employ seasonal workers from our Work Canada program via virtual interviews.

The mountains are calling

You’ve done it – visa sorted, job secured, but what’s next? Don’t worry, BUNAC’s assistance is there for your whole duration in Canada. You’ll have two nights’ accommodation sorted in the city near your resort and an arrival orientation to take you through everything you need to know about working in Canada.

The season may be over, but your visa isn’t!

Included in the Ultimate Canada is everything in our Essential program. You’ll have access to our job database for two years, so once your ski season is over, BUNAC will still be there to help find a job in the city.

From guiding you through the process of applying for your visa to supporting you with finding a job, leave the hard work to us. Start planning your Canada working holiday today with just a deposit.
