Accommodation

Live in a social environment with other like-minded volunteers with two options for your accommodation:

Standard Accommodation

  • Based at a local guest house
  • 2 volunteers per room
  • On suite bathrooms with hot and cold water
  • 1 x weekly clean
  • TV in room
  • Fans in room (plus air conditioning at a cost of 30,000 Lao Kip per day)
  • 5 min walk to main office and teaching location, and 30 minute walk to town
  • Safe and Wifi in main office that are free to use

Upgraded Accommodation

  • Private room with en-suite bathroom with hot and cold water
  • Free air conditioning
  • More spacious than standard room plus a small sofa
  • 1 x weekly clean (laundry service available at extra cost)
  • TV in room
  • 5 min walk to main office and teaching location, and 30 minute walk to town
  • Safe and Wifi in main office that are free to use

Food

Volunteers will be offered 3 meals a day at a restaurant near the guesthouse.

  • Breakfast may include eggs, bread, pancakes or fruit salad
  • For Lunch and dinner, volunteers can choose from a variety of local and westerns dishes on the menu (vegetarian options available)
  • As well as the provided meals, Luang Prabang has plenty of local and western restaurants that volunteers are welcome to eat at, at their own expense

The area

Luang Prabang is an ancient city set at the meeting point of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers. You'll have stunning scenery; from dense jungles to golden temples and breath-taking waterfalls - sounds idyllic doesn’t it? There is a great mix of both natural and historical sites, from exploring the old quarter to making a splash at the stunning Kuang Si Falls you are sure to find plenty to keep you occupied on your days off.

KUANG SI FALLS

This waterfall has three levels and flows into gorgeous turquoise pools, take a dip in the cool water or chill under the trees while posing a up a storm at this perfect insta location.

PAK OU CAVES

These caves overlook the worlds 12th longest river, the Mekong river which flows from China to Vietnam. With a history spanning hundreds of years you will find hundreds of Buddha statues in these caves left by locals over the years.

MOUNT PHOUSI

It’s quite a climb with hundreds of steps, but the climb is well worth it, to watch the sun rise or set with a 360 view over Luang Prabang.
