Work in Canada
Get ready for big chills. Live and work for up to two years in Canada with visa application support, a pre-arranged ski season job and awesome new friends on our Work Canada program.
Why do a working holiday in Canada??
Canada has become a go-to destination for working holidaymakers who want year-round adventures, liveable cities and decent salaries. Aside from the fact that the national dish is fries covered in cheese and gravy (enough said), Canada offers the perfect work-life balance. Surf in the morning before work, hit the slopes at night after work, and spend your weekends exploring mountains, beaches and lakes.
Now here’s the best bit. You can do all of that on a working holiday visa until you’re 35 –because Canada is just cool like that. And on our Ultimate Canada option, we hook you up with a 4-6 month ski season or summer resort job before you go – because we’re just a bit cool like that.
Age is just a number
Life doesn’t stop at 30, and neither should your Canadian adventures. We have access to a range of visas so that you can live and work in Canada, even if you’ve passed the big three-oh.
Job envy is real
Work as a lift attendant in Whistler, as a server in the Blue Mountains or as front of house in Lake Louise. Start your Canada working holiday with the security of knowing you have a job lined up.
Stuff to know before you hit the snow (or trails)
When to apply
Seriously in demand and with limited visas available, timing is everything with Canada working holiday visas. When you apply, your name goes into a pool (not the fun hotel kind, the nail-biting ‘I really want to move to Canada’ kind), and if you’re successful, you’ll be invited to officially apply for your visa. The pool usually opens at the end of the year or the beginning of the next year. We’d recommend applying for our Work Canada program in January for the best chance of securing a visa.
Who can apply
If you’re from the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Germany or Ireland and are aged 18-35, you can apply for a working holiday (IEC) visa that allows you to work in Canada for up to 23 months (depending on your nationality). If you’re from the UK, you must be aged 18-30. However, UK passport holders aged 31-35 can apply for a Recognised Organisation (RO) Letter through BUNAC. There’s also Young Professionals visas. Confused? Call us for a chat, we speak fluent visa.
When to go
One of the best things about Canada is that it’s a year-round destination with reliable seasons. Once winter’s over, ski resorts turn into summer playgrounds ready for downhill mountain biking and hiking. That means the seasonal job opportunities are endless. If you want a more urban scene with career-focused work, big cities like Vancouver, Toronto and Edmonton are cool and cultural, and perfectly placed for weekend adventures to the slopes and national parks.
Where to go
Canada is one of the most liveable countries in the world. Head for the hills to work in the mountains of British Columbia (BC), Alberta or Ontario where we can hook you up with pre-arranged jobs working in some of the country’s top ski resorts. Or if you’re more into skyscrapers than slopes, Canada’s cities are pure lifestyle. Frequently ranking as the best cities to live in the world, we have teams in Vancouver and Toronto to help you settle in and find work.
