Immigration health surcharge
2-year Youth Mobility Scheme visa: £940

Our team will guide you through the visa process and application, but all visa payments must be made directly to UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI). The Immigration health surcharge is a mandatory visa requirement that gives you access to National Health Services (NHS) while you're in the UK. It's currently £470 per year.

Our BUNAC team are here to assist you with your visa, but all applications and payments must be made directly to the UK Visa and Immigration (UKVI) website.
As a requirement of your visa, you’ll need to show proof that you have the following funds: £2,530
Some of the visa application centres where you will submit your biometrics are managed by VFS Global on behalf of UKVI. When managed by VFS there is an additional user fee to pay to use the Centre for Biometrics and submitting your visa application. These include:

Canada (Edmonton/Halifax/Ottawa/St Johns/Vancouver): £59

You can only purchase travel insurance before you enter the UK. We’ve got you covered, get an online quote here.
You can usually book flights up to 11 months in advance. The cost will depend on when you book and the date you leave your home country. When travelling on a working holiday visa, you can fly into the UK on a one-way ticket. However, you may need to show additional support funds when you arrive.
Itinerary What you'll do
Day 1: Arrival day
Welcome to London, baby! Today is free to chill at the hostel, sleep off the jet lag or jump on our WhatsApp group to meet up with other BUNACers starting their UK working holiday that month. Generator hostel is based near Kings Cross, so if you don’t want to venture too far, wander over to the converted railway arches of Coal Drops Yard or cobblestoned Clerkenwell to grab food and drinks.

Inclusions: 3 nights’ dorm accommodation at the Generator hostel in London.
